If you do a quick search of the Northwest Missouri State football record book, the name Xavier Omon appears everywhere.  The numbers are staggering and seem more like a video game than real life. How about this as a small snapshot = over 7,000 rushing yards in his career (a mere 3,000 yards more than the 2nd best mark in school history), 92 career rushing touchdowns (33 more than the next highest total), 4 of the top 8 single season rushing totals in school history and the list goes on and on.  At this time he holds 32 of the Bearcat’s 34 records for rushing and scoring, including nearly every season, career and postseason mark for Bearcat running backs.

The Beatrice, Nebraska native was a fixture on the All-MIAA first team throughout his career and even a regular on All-American teams during that stretch, including 2007 when he was named to the first team by five different publications. He helped lead his team to a pair of MIAA titles and three appearances in the National Title game. He was a force in the postseason as well, highlighted by a stretch during his senior season when he rushed for a remarkable 601 yards over a two game stretch that included a 309-yard quarterfinal performance in a victory on the road over Chadron State and then the 292 yard performance against defending National Champion Grand Valley State punctuated by a 98-yard scamper in the 4th quarter to literally ice the game in frozen Bearcat Stadium

To put it simply, Xavier is statistically in a category of his own when it comes to Bearcat ball carriers.
