Story Headlines
- The northwest Missouri State University track and field teams competed at the Emporia State Relays on Saturday at the Francis G. Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kan.
- Jordan Hammond finished 1st in the 100-meter hurdles, running a time of 14.57.
- Kevin Schultz placed 1st in the javelin, throwing an NCAA provisional of 59.11m.
- The women's 4x400 meter relay team, consisting of Hiba Mahgoub, Emma Taylor, Maja Ganter and Jordan Hammond place first overall with a time of 4:06.10.
- Karim Achengli, competing at the Washington University Invitational this weekend, hit an NCAA provisional in the 5000-meter run, finishing 1st overall with a time of 14:22.13. With that time, Karim now holds the school record in the 5000-meter run.  
 
Men's Highlights
- Wick Cunningham finished in 5th place in the 3000-meter steeplechase, running 9:47.00.
- In the long jump Armani Carmickle finished 4th, jumping 7.04m.
- The 4x200 meter relay team consisting of Dallas Steiner, Juwan Bush, Ryan Rippy and Caelon Harkey placed 2nd with a time of 1:31.86. 
- The 4x200 meter relay team consisting of Zach Walkenhorst, Josh McElwain, Brock Swindler and Payton Sheehan placed 5th, running a time of 1:37.00.
- Brayden Clews-Proctor placed 3rd place in the 5000 meter, running 15:03.25.
- The 4x800 relay team of Trevor Obecny, John Quinly, Zac Miller and Jake Stansbury finished 5th, running 8:34.51.
- Finishing in 4th place, the 4x400 meter relay consisting of Juwan Bush, Kevin Schultz, Caelon Harkey and Dallas Steiner, ran a time of 3:26.63.
 
Women's Highlights
- Melissa Shepherd ran 4:53.53 in the 1500-meter to take 3rd place.
- Morgan McCormick ran 15.06 in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing 6th.
- Brittany Mitchell placed 2nd in the pole vault with a jump of 3.55m. Followed by Jennifer LeHew in 3rd, Jumping J3.55m. 
- Nerea Bermejo Yanguas placed 4th in the 400-meter hurdles, running 1:07.27.
- In the triple jump Mercedes Isaacson-Cover finished 5th, jumping 11.60m.
- Haley Craig placed 4th in shop put, throwing 13.13m.
- The 4x200 relay team of Hiba Mahgoub, Sydny Harris, Mercedes Isaacson-Cover and Audrey Wichmann finished 2nd with a time of 1:46.26 followed by the relay team of Lauren Smith, Nerea Bermejo Yanguas, Lindsay Davis and Mackenzie Daffer in 4th place, running 1:49.73.
