TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma - The Northeastern State University RiverHawks women's tennis team knocked off No. 19-ranked Northwest Missouri State University, 4-3.
Northwest captured the doubles' point to begin the dual. The Bearcats No. 2 squad of
Tania Teruel and
Julie Rinderknech scored a 7-6 (7-5) win over Kristela Vidnere and Betka Gombarova. Northwest's No. 3 squad of
Irene Recuenco and
Sara Grozdanovic cruised to a 6-1 win over NSU's Melissa Vera and Karla Tomaic.
However, the Riverhawks turned the tide in singles' play. NSU tallied wins at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5.
