WICHITA FALLS, Texas - In a battle of ranked teams, the No. 32 Northwest Missouri State women's tennis squad posted a 5-2 triumph over No. 33-ranked Midwestern State on Sunday.

Northwest's top doubles' team of Tania Teruel and Marta Ferrando knocked off the No. 10-ranked doubles team in the nation, MSU's Ashley Ramirez and Maddy Coffman, 6-1.

The Bearcat No. 3 doubles duo of Irene Recuenco and Sara Grozdanovic took down MSU's Lea Cizeron and Juliette Mary, 6-2, to allow the Bearcats to take the doubles' point.

The Bearcats scored singles wins at No. 2 (Recuenco), No. 3 (Ferrando), No. 4 (Julia Aliseda) and No. 5 (Julie Rinderknech) to clinch the dual victory.

Northwest improves to 10-3 on the season and MSU falls to 8-3 overall.
