The Bearcats and Ichabods split the singles' action at 3-3. Northwest's
Marta Ferrando rallied from a set down to come back and tally a three-set win over Washburn's Logan Morrissey at No. 3 singles, 0-6, 7-5, 6-2.
Julie Rinderknech notched a straight-sets victory at No. 5 singles against Washburn's Svea Crohn, 6-2, 6-3.
Sara Grozdanovic secured a 7-6, 6-3 victory over Washburn's Madison Lysaught at No. 6 singles.
Washburn's Maria Soler Valverde clinched the dual win with a hard-fought 6-3, 7-6 win over Northwest's
Julia Aliseda at No. 3 singles. The No. 3 singles match featured nation's No. 56 player in Soler Valverde and the nation's No. 75 player in Aliseda.
Northwest falls to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in MIAA play, while Washburn improves to 11-1 overall and 3-0 in league action.
