The Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis team opened its spring season with a 4-1 win over Maryville University in Red Oak.

Maryville's No. 36-ranked Nicole Pafundi notched the Saints' lone win in singles play. The Bearcats swept the double action and then got victories from Irene Recuenco, Julia Aliseda and Marta Ferrando in singles to clinch the dual victory.
