Women's tennis falls to Nebraska-Kearney

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State women's tennis team fell to Nebraska-Kearney on Friday in the first round of the MIAA Championships, 6-1. Northwest finishes the season with an 11-15 mark for the year.

Northwest's only point on the afternoon came from the No. 1 doubles position as Lorena Rivas Jarolim and Alexis Bartek beat Vanessa Gunawan and Kari Emery, 8-2.

The men's team will be in action tomorrow morning with a 9 a.m. match against Washburn in the semi-finals.
