Women's ResultsStory Highlights- The Northwest Missouri State cross country teams competed in the Division II Central Region Championships on Saturday afternoon.
- The meet was held in Wayne, Neb. and hosted by Wayne State College.
- The men finished 11th in the field of 22 teams, while the women finished 16th in a field cosisting of 29 teams.

Wick Cunningham's 16th place finish earned him a spot in the NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships.
- The top four teams in each race clinched a spot in the National Championship, while the top three finishers not on those teams qualified as individuals
Men's Race Highlights (Northwest finished 11th with 308 points)- Cunningham completed the 10-kilometer course in 32:17.2. He edged out Jahn Landrigan of Nebraska-Kearney to claim the final invitation to Louisville.

Ryan Cox finished 51st with a time of 33:28.8, followed closely by
Tim Grundmayer, who finished in 33:33.9, good for 57th place.

Kit Anderson found himself in 80th place after completing the course in 34:02.2, while
Johnny Harley (35:00.9) wrapped up the Bearcat top five in 108th.
- Augustana won the race with 28 points.
- Missouri Southern will represent the MIAA in the National Championship after finishing third with 93 points.
Women's Race Highlights (Northwest finished 16th with 408 points)-
Anne Herbert was the top finisher for the women, completing the course in 22:46.03, good for 28th place.

Lizzy Jurries traversed the six-kilometer course in 24:11.55, finishing in 84th place.

Samantha Laurenzo (24:23.83) finished close behind in 92nd place.

Katie Bush finished 103rd with a time of 24:38.5, while
Jessica Johnson (24:46.48) rounded out the Bearcat scoring in 110th place.
- Minnesota Duluth won the race with 40 points.
Up Next- Cunningham will travel to Lousiville, Ky. on Dec. 6 to compete in the Division II Cross Country National Championships. The meet is a part of the NCAA DII National Championships Fall Festival, which brings the volleyball, soccer, field hockey, and cross country championships to the same city every four years.
