The Northwest Missouri State soccer team tied in its match against Missouri Western Friday night as it ended with a 0-0 score.
The Bearcats outshot the Griffons 11-5 in the first half, and 9-3 in the second half for a total of 20-8 for the game. Of the 20 shots, 11 of them were on goal for Northwest and the Bearcats held Missouri Western to just 3 shots on goal.
The trio of
Kaylie Rock,
Teagan Blackburn, and
Sophie Cissell each recorded a team high three shots.
Lily Ellis started her fourth game of the season and recorded her fourth shutout. In 360 minutes of play, she has not allowed a goal.
The Bearcats return home to face No. 19 Central Missouri Sunday, Sept. 11, at 1 p.m.
