Personal/High School
Sophie Cissell is a 5'9" midfielder/forward from Liberty, Missouri. Cissell earned first-team all-state honors as a sophomore and as a junior at St. Piux X High School for head coach Todd Ashby. Cissell was named the region's Offensive Player of the Year as a junior. Entering her senior year, Cissell has scored more than 100 goals. She played in the state tournament's final four as a freshman and as a sophomore. Cissell has earned first-team all-conference, all-district and all-region honors. Cissell played club soccer for Kansas City Scott Gallagher (KCSG) for coach Jeff Davis. She is the daughter of Chris and Heather Cissell. Her father, Chris, is the head women's soccer coach at Grand Canyon University after serving as the head women's coach at UMKC the previous nine seasons.
