The Northwest Missouri State soccer team defeated Northeastern State 1-0 at the Bearcat Pitch Friday afternoon.

The Bearcats scored in the final seconds of the first half to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Adell Gore found the back of the net as she snuck the ball just past the goalkeeper's hands and into the bottom right corner of the goal. This was her second goal of the season. Gore scored off an assist from
Yesenia Arnau at the 44:14 mark.

Northwest was strong on the attacking side of the match with 24 shots, 13 of which were on goal. The Bearcats held the Riverhawks to just 8 shots for the day.

Teagan Blackburn had a team high 6 shots in the match.
Sophie Cissell was right behind her with 5 shots.

th shutout this year. Ellis is now the nations leader in shutouts this season.

Northwest is back in action Sunday at 1 p.m. against Rogers State. Sunday's matchup is Senior Day for Bearcat soccer.
