The Northwest Missouri State women's soccer team finished off Missouri Western in shutout fashion in St. Joseph, 2-0.

The Bearcats carried the momentum into the second half with
Hannah Stirling scoring an insurance goal in the 67th minute to extend the lead to 2-0. The Northwest defense held strong the rest of the way, limiting Missouri Western to just two shots on goal with keeper
Ashley Williams making two saves on the night.
The Bearcats take on Missouri Southern in Joplin on Sunday at 2 p.m.
The victory ensures a home MIAA Tournament game for the Bearcats. The 2021 MIAA Tournament bracket will be set following the conclusion of the MIAA regular season schedule on Sunday.
