The nationally-ranked Northwest Missouri State University women's and men's tennis teams are headed to the OKC Tennis Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for the 2019 MIAA Championship.
The Bearcat women (16-5 overall, 6-3 MIAA) are the No. 3 seed in the MIAA tournament and will take on No. 6 seed Emporia State in the quarterfinals Friday at 2 p.m. The winner will advance to take on the winner of the No. 2 Central Oklahoma-No. 7 Nebraska-Kearney in the semifinals Saturday at 2 p.m.
The Bearcat men (10-10 overall, 3-1 MIAA) are the No. 2 seed for the MIAA tournament and will match up against No. 3 seed Washburn in the semifinals Saturday at 9 a.m.
Both the men's and women's MIAA title matches are set for Sunday at 10 a.m.
The Bearcat women are ranked No. 23 in the nation in the latest ITA rankings. Sophomore
Irene Recuenco is No. 18 and freshman
Julia Aliseda is ranked No. 61. The doubles team of
Tania Teruel and
Marta Ferrando are ranked No. 26 in the nation.
The Bearcat men are ranked No. 47. Sophomore

Fabien Calloud is No. 47 in the national singles rankings.
