Northwest Missouri State University senior Polina Gontaryk has earned the No. 8 seed and will compete at the ITA Division II Singles & Doubles Championships in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Nov. 4-8.
 
Gontaryk will square off against North Georgia's Olesya Stokusova in the round of 32 match Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. The winner of the Gontaryk-Stokusova match will play the winner of the Fabienne Lahn (Chestnut Hill) and Mei Hasegawa (Central Oklahoma) match in the round of 16. Gontaryk knocked off Hasegawa in the ITA Central Region title match in three sets in Edmond, Okla.
 
Gontaryk has posted a singles' mark of 8-1 this fall and has won seven straight matches entering this week's competition in Tuscaloosa.
