TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – No. 8-seeded Polina Gontaryk took care of business in straights sets in her consolation match Thursday at the ITA NCAA Division II Singles Championships.
 
Gontaryk dispatched Chestnut Hill's Fabienne Lahn by scores of 6-0, 6-1 on the outdoors courts at the Tuscaloosa Tennis Center.
 
Gontaryk improved her singles record to 9-2 this fall and will continue in consolation action Friday. Gontaryk will take on the winner of the Andrea De Barnardo (Lubbock Christian) and No. 2-seeded Emily Buchanan (Mississippi College).
