Mark Rosewell, the Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis team has risen to No. 24 in the latest ITA NCAA Division II team rankings.
Sophomore
Irene Recuenco (Valencia, Spain) is up to No. 24 in the ITA singles rankings. Recuenco is has 17 singles victories on the season and has posted a 12-6 mark at No. 2 singles.
Freshman
Julia Aliseda (Tarragona, Spain) is ranked No. 69 in the ITA singles rankings. Aliseda is 18-6 overall, including a 13-3 record at No. 4 singles.
The Bearcat doubles duo of
Tania Teruel and
Marta Ferrando has risen to N. 32 in the ITA doubles rankings. Teruel and Ferrando knocked off No. 6-ranked Klara vickov and Jil Van Den Dungen (Southwest Baptist) in a dual match last week.
Senior
Julie Rinderknech (Paris, France) leads the team in singles wins with a mark of 19-5. Rinderknech is 14-3 at No. 5 singles this spring.
The Bearcats are 14-5 overall and 5-3 in MIAA play. The women will travel to Fort Hays State on Friday for a dual at 2 p.m. The women will then take on Southeastern Oklahoma State in Tulsa at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
