The Northwest Missouri State men's and women's tennis teams will open their fall season Friday and Saturday in Texas.

Northwest will travel to Wichita Falls, Texas, to take part in the Midwestern State Invitational.

On the men's side, the Bearcats return seven players, while the Bearcat Women will return six.

Last season, the Bearcat men finished the season ranked 47^th in the ITA Division II Men's Rankings.

For the women, Irene Recuenco finished 47^th and Tania Teruel finished 65^th in singles nationally. The two teamed up for doubles and finished 15^th nationally last season.

Head Coach Mark Rosewell will return for his 35^th season at Northwest and 37^th collegiate year.

The men will have one more meet before regionals and for the women this is their only meet before regionals.
