Story Headlines
- The Northwest Missouri State University men's and women's tennis teams each picked up an MIAA victory over Emporia State on Wednesday at the Frank Grube Tennis Courts in Maryville, Mo.
- The No. 18 ranked Bearcat men beat the Hornets, 8-1, to improve to 14-3 on the year and 5-0 in MIAA play. Emporia State falls to 10-6 overall and 2-3 in conference action.
- The Northwest women picked up a 7-2 victory to improve to 7-11 overall and 5-4 in MIAA action. The Hornets drop to 7-9 on the year and 3-6 in conference play.
- The two victories give head coach Mark Rosewell 1,067 for his career.
- The win also gives the Bearcat men the outright MIAA title, the team's eighth-straight trophy. It is the 22nd overall men's regular season title for Northwest's men.
- Northwest got singles and doubles victories from Romain Boissinot, Sergi Fontcuberta, Josef Altmann and Aymeric Autones.
 - For the women, Aniek Kolen and Tess Lovig each scored two points in singles and doubles.
- Prior to the match, the Bearcats honored the two teams' six seniors, Boissinot, Autones, Romain Boissinot, Fin Glowick, Kolen and Lorena Rivas Jarolim.
