Men's tennis wins thriller against SBU

- The Northwest Missouri State University men's tennis team beat Southwest Baptist, 5-4, on Tuesday afternoon at Frank Grube Courts in Maryville, Mo.
- The win advances Northwest into the NCAA Division II Championship Tournament for the fourth straight season.
- Northwest improves to 20-3 overall while SBU ends its season at 13-8.
- This was the third win over SBU in the NCAA Tournament for Northwest (3-0) and improves Northwest's regional first  round record to 10-6.
- This is the 11th straight season Northwest has made the NCAA Tournament.
- The win was No. 1,045 for head coach Mark Rosewell
- Northwest picked up two doubles points, capturing the No. 3 match with Mauro Tete and Josef Altmann in a 7-3 tiebreaker.
- Sergi Fontcuberta and Alvaro Riveros won at No. 1 doubles, 8-4.
- In singles, Northwest fell behind 2-0 before Tete gave Northwest life with a three-set win at No. 4.
- After dropping the No. 3 singles point, No. 6 Fin Glowick delivered a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6 to tie the match, 3-3.
- No. 5 Aymeric Autones closed out the win for Northwest, capturing 6-3, 6-3 sets to clinch the point for Northwest.
