Clara Peake is in third place after the second round of the 54-hole Spring Regional Preview held at Shangri La Country Club.

Peake shot an even-par round of 72 in the second round. Peake is 2-under par through 36 holes. She added four more birdies in her second round to give her nine through two rounds. Peake posted birdies at No. 4, No. 8, No. 9 and No. 16 in Tuesday's second round. Peake is tied with Centra Oklahoma's Layne Ailshe for the most birdies in the field (10) through two rounds.

Lauren Briggs nabbed a pair of birdies at No. 8 and No. 11 as she fired a second-round 76. Briggs is tied for 27th in the field after 36 holes with a two-round total of 153 (+9). Briggs is playing the par 3s as the best in the field. She has a stroke average of 2.80 on the par 3s (-2).

The Bearcat women slipped two spots to No. 4 in the team standings at the close of 36 holes. Northwest shot a score of 300 in the second round. The Bearcats have produced a 36-hole total of 597, which ranks tied for the third-lowest 36-hole score in program history.
