MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State University head tennis coach
Mark Rosewell claimed his 1,300th career coaching victory Friday at the Rosewell Tennis Center with a 5-2 win over Southwest Baptist in men's tennis play.

Rosewell has accumulated 1,300 victories in 44 years as a collegiate tennis coach. Rosewell has tallied 1,278 victories in 42 seasons at Northwest. He also gained 22 coaching wins in two seasons at the University of Central Missouri prior to taking the Northwest coaching job.

Friday's victory improved the No. 48-ranked Northwest men's squad to 4-4 on the season. Southwest Baptist dropped to 3-7 overall.

Northwest took a 1-0 lead in the dual by gaining the doubles' point. Northwest's No. 1 pairing of
Dominik Wijntjes and
Gage Foltz rolled to a 6-0 victory over SBU's Alexandru Marinescu and Oliver Kocanovic. Northwest's No. 3 duo of
Konstantin Feiel and
Pavlo Vysotin secured a 6-3 win against SBU's Federico Riolo and Romain Ramuz.

Northwest needed three singles' wins to net the dual victory and the home squad provided its head coach with four.

Vysotin earned a 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles.
Bernardo Henriques won his match at No. 3 singles when SBU's Marinescu had to retire in the second set. Henriques was up 6-2, 1-0 when the match was stopped.

Jules Subra locked up the dual with a 6-4, 6-4 triumph at No. 6 singles. Subra took down SBU's Kocanovic in straight sets.

Konstantin Feiel added the final win of the day with a third-set super-tiebreaker victory over SBU's Federico Riolo. Feiel won by set scores of 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-5).
