ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis team picked up a 6-1 dual victory at Ouachita Baptist Saturday.
The Bearcat women improved their record to 3-1 this spring with their second consecutive victory. Ouachita Baptist dropped to 1-6 overall.
The Bearcats took a 1-0 lead in doubles by scoring triumphs at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. The No. 2 pairing of
Miru Nonaka and
Chiharu Ito downed OBU's Alice Kubler and Marlee Bledsoe, 6-1. Northwest's No. 3 pairing of
Polina Gontaryk and
Majra Djokic scored a 6-2 win over OBU's Karli Gay and Jenny Pfaefflin.
Northwest picked up five singles' wins with four coming in straight sets.Â
