MANSFIELD, Texas — Oklahoma Baptist University downed the Northwest Missouri State University softball team, 8-3, at the Lone Star D2 Classic.
Northwest Missouri State managed six hits and drew eight walks but left 11 runners on base, while Oklahoma Baptist capitalized on 10 hits, including a home run, to secure the win.
Northwest Missouri State faced Oklahoma Baptist in a challenging matchup. The game began with a strong defensive stand by Northwest Missouri State, as Oklahoma Baptist was retired in order in the first inning. However, the Bison took an early lead in the second inning with a three-run homer by Haley Hacker, putting them ahead 3-0. In the bottom of the third, Northwest Missouri State responded with
