MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State University women's soccer team posted a 3-0 shutout win over the visiting Northern State University Wolves.

Makenna West scored her fourth career goal, with an assist fromÂ
Addy Armstrong, making it the first Northwest goal of the 2025 season. The teams stayed evenly matched in the first half with Northwest having three shots with the Wolves being limited to two. Northwest went into halftime in the lead, 1-0.

After halftime the game began to pick up, with freshmanÂ
Sadie Lilienthal scoring her first career goal in the 61st minute. Northwest found its footing again near the end of the game, at the 88th minute, withÂ
Margaret Madden scoring a third goal for the Bearcats assisted byÂ
Berkleigh Salmond. The action got going a little bit more in the second half with Northwest putting up 10 shots to three for the Wolves.

Lily Ellis played all 90 minutes of action in the cage for the 'Cats, making this game the 28th shutout of her career at Northwest.Â

Northwest is set hit the Bearcat Pitch in Maryville once again to take on Bemidji State Sunday, Sept. 7, at 11 a.m. This game be billed as a Youth Game and will include a poster signing at the conclusion of the match.
