MARYVILLE, Mo. - A trio of first half goals powered the Northwest Missouri State University women's soccer team to a home triumph over the Southwest Baptist University Bearcats, 3-1.
Northwest dominated the first half of the game, scoring early in the half near the seven-minute mark, withÂ

Margaret Madden heading the ball right into the net, scoring the first goal of the match. Northwest then made two more successive goals near the 41st and the 44th minutes of the match, made byÂ

Mackenzie Jordan respectively, making the score 3-0 at the end of the half.Â

Northwest out shot Southwest Baptist throughout the first half 12-0 with six of the shots on goal.Â

Southwest Baptist then responded at the beginning of the second half with a goal at the 47th minute mark made by Lydia Fickle, making the score 3-1 for the remainder of the game. Throughout the second half Northwest kept up their aggressive offense outshooting Southwest Baptist 12-5 with five of them on target, with all of them being saved by Southwest Baptist.Â
