EMPORIA, Kan. – The Northwest Missouri State University track and field teams earned four titles at the 2025 MIAA Outdoor Championships, with three of those coming on Championship Sunday at Witten Track and Welch Stadium.
Grant Bradley captured his second championship of the weekend with a MIAA record in the 5000-meter run, while
Tiffany Hughey claimed MIAA titles in both the 400-meter dash and the 4x400-meter relay.
Bradley earned the second-most points from track events on the men's side, totaling 20 points—tied for third-most overall.
The Bearcat women's team finished in third accumulating 108 points, while the men's squad placed sixth with 65 points.
FIELD EVENTS
- (W) Javelin: Luisarys Toledo took bronze in the event. She delivered her best toss of 49.06m (160-11) on her fifth throw—just five inches short of her school-record mark of 161-04. The top four finishers in the event all rank inside the top 10 in Division II, with Toledo sitting at No. 6.
- (M) Triple Jump: David Parker II placed ninth with a jump of 14.37m (47-01.75) on his third attempt.
- (M) High Jump: Jeremiah Rainey-Dunlap cleared 1.99m (6-06.25) on his fourth height to claim seventh.
- (W) Shot Put: Kelsey Fields recorded a season-best throw of 13.88m (45-06.50) to place seventh.
RUNNING EVENTS
- (W) 1500m: The top five finishers broke the previous MIAA record of 4:30.23. Lydia McGlocklin ran a personal-best 4:29.47 to place fourth among 18 competitors, setting a new school record and surpassing the previous mark from 2022. Olivia Bakker (4:32.55) and Mayson Hartley (4:34.40) finished seventh and eighth, respectively. Whitney Post claimed 14th with a time of 4:54.46.
- (M) 1500m: Riley Witt led the Bearcat trio with a fourth-place finish in 3:47.20. Barnabe Gabillet finished 11th in 3:55.06, while Grayson Tapp clocked in at 3:56.25 to place 14th.
- (W) 100m Hurdles: Grace Hill finished sixth in the finals with a time of 14.57.
- (M) 110m Hurdles: Moses Koroma faced a tough field in the finals, placing sixth with a time of 14.15.
- (W) 400m: A one-two-three finish earned the Bearcats 24 team points. Tiffany Hughey defended her title with a time of 52.47, the fifth-fastest in Division II this season. Chloe Saenz (53.76) took second, while Melanie Roland earned bronze in 54.02. Saenz's and Roland's times rank No. 13 and No. 18 in Division II, respectively.
- (M) 400m: Keith Griffin III finished fifth in 47.16 during his first outdoor collegiate season.
- (W) 100m: Jaurdin Mallory (12.02) and Campbell Barta (12.16) placed fifth and eighth, respectively, in Sunday's finals.
- (M) 100m: Dominic Sedlacek ran the fifth-fastest time in the MIAA this season at 10.51. He entered Sunday's finals ranked sixth.
- (W) 800m: Jadyn Barnes clocked 2:08.58 to finish second. Her time ranks No. 2 in school history and No. 18 in Division II. Marie Dea placed fourth (2:09.38), Lydia McGlocklin fifth (2:09.79), and Federica Lega sixth (2:12.52). Both Barnes and McGlocklin ran new personal bests.
- (M) 800m: Riley Witt came just shy of a title, finishing second in 1:52.19.
- (W) 400m Hurdles: Jaedy Commins claimed bronze in 1:00.66, while Anjelena Carder finished fifth in 1:02.57.
- (W) 5000m: Lou Maquaire led the Bearcats with a ninth-place finish in 17:38.34. Jessa Cassity placed 22nd in 18:59.32, and Amanda Seggerman took 26th in 19:38.09.
- (M) 5000m: Grant Bradley closed in dominant fashion, winning the event in 14:21.22 to become Northwest's third MIAA champion. His time set a new MIAA meet record, breaking the previous mark of 14:22.66 set by Central Missouri's Mark Curp in 1981. Brandon Mundorf finished 11th (14:59.90), and Tyler Blay placed 21st (15:54.07).
RELAYS
- (W) 4x100m: The quartet of Chloe Saenz, Jaurdin Mallory, Kyah Luhring, and Campbell Barta earned bronze with a Division II provisional time of 45.30, ranking No. 15 nationally. The time is the second-fastest in school history—just 0.01 seconds off the 2023 record of 45.29.
- (M) 4x100m: Moses Koroma, Dominic Sedlacek, Gavyn Monday, and Zac Anderson finished as MIAA runners-up with a time of 40.45. Northwest's top time this season, 39.99, ranks No. 9 nationally.
- (W) 4x400m: Chloe Saenz, Jaedy Commins, Jadyn Barnes, and Tiffany Hughey held off Washburn and Central Missouri to win the MIAA title in 3:40.20.
- (M) 4x400m: In a tight finish, Keith Griffin III, Gavyn Monday, Logan Arellano, and Christian Lanphier were edged out at the end and earned bronze with a Division II provisional time of 3:09.34, ranking No. 12 nationally.
