MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State University softball team managed to split a doubleheader with Wayne State College Tuesday at home.

Malia Cuevas, Riahn Pinkerton and Curstin Todd each had two-hit games to pace the Bearcat offense.

Pinkerton drove in the first run of the game in the second with an RBI-single to right center that scored Cuevas. Alexis Brown reached on an error that allowed Pinkerton to score for a 2-0 Bearcat lead in the second inning.

The Bearcats tacked on four runs in the fourth for a 6-0 advantage. Omara Love singled to center to have Pinkerton score her second run of the game and Todd scored her first. Skylar Pieper delivered a sacrifice fly to left field that brought in Brown. Cuevas reached on an infield error which allowed Love to score an unearned run.
