EDMOND, Okla. - The Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis team picked up a 5-2 dual victory on the road Friday over the University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos.
Northwest moved its season mark to 8-7 overall and 3-1 in the MIAA. Central Oklahoma fell to 6-5 overall and 2-2 in league matches.Â
The Bearcats were victorious in three of the four singles matches that went three sets to propel Northwest to the dual triumph.

Alva Norberg put up a 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 win over UCO's Nefeli Zafeiri at No. 2 singles.
Polina Gontaryk gained a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 triumph at No. 3 singles over UCO's Ayaka Koga.
Carolina Oliveira snared a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win over UCO's Anika Ouwejan at No. 4 singles.
Miru Nonaka took care of business in straight sets at No. 5 singles against UCO's Karyna Yurchenko, 7-6, 6-3.
The Bearcats gained the doubles' point with victories at No. 1 from
Marielena Muench and
Camilla Franzin and at No. 2 from
Alva Norberg and
Miru Nonaka.
Northwest will travel to Wichita, Kan., Saturday to match up against the Newman University Jets in more MIAA dual action.
