LAWTON, Okla. - The Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis team came up short in a 4-3 dual loss Sunday afternoon to the Cameron University Aggies.
Cameron improved to 2-3 overall, while Northwest fell to 3-4 on the season.
Miru Nonaka did her best to keep the Bearcat hopes alive throughout the dual Nonaka teamed up with
Polina Gontaryk for a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles. Nonaka continued her success with a win at No. 6 singles over Cameron's Anna Deuringer, 6-4, 6-2. Nonaka was the only Bearcat to win both a singles and doubles match on Sunday.
Northwest's No. 53-ranked
Marielena Muench gained a three-set win at No. 1 singles over Cameron's Anastasia Uspenskaia, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. It was Muench's third win this spring at No. 1 singles.

Anne Carvalho Pereira picked up a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Cameron's Alexsa Paucar at No. 5 singles.
The Bearcats return to play Tuesday in Durant, Okla., against Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
