WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis team notched a 4-2 dual win over No. 22-ranked UT Tyler Saturday in a non-conference neutral site match.

Northwest evened its record at 3-3 with the victory.

Northwest gained the upper hand early by scoring wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to take a 1-0 lead.

Marielena Muench scored a 7-6 (7-3), 6-1 win at Carla Rodier at No. 1 singles. Alva Norberg notched a 4-6, 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 3 singles. Anne Carvalho Pereira secured a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles to clinch the 4-2 dual.
