OTTAWA, Kan. - The Northwest Missouri State University men's tennis team evened its season mark at 5-5 with a 7-0 victory Monday at Ottawa.
The Bearcats won their second straight dual in a non-conference tilt.
Northwest captured two of the three doubles matches to secure a 1-0 lead. Northwest gained doubles wins from its No. 1 pairing of
Louis Lieberz and
Luc Mascitti and No. 2 duo of
Dominik Wijntjes and
Antonin Leborne.
The Bearcats went to work in singles play and did not drop a set in notching six victories for the 7-0 dual win. No. 28-ranked Wijntjes improved his singles' mark to 8-2. No. 60-ranked Leborne captured his fourth straight win and moved his season mark to 8-1 in dual action.
The Bearcat men's and women's tennis teams will be in action at home Friday at 1 p.m. against Arkansas-Fort Smith in MIAA dual play.
