LIBERTY, Mo. - The No. 23-ranked Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis team scored a 7-0 win over William Jewell in the opening match of its spring season.

The Bearcats took advantage of a limited Cardinal roster by scoring wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles along with triumphs at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles. William Jewell fielded a lineup of only four players which gave Northwest forfeit wins at No. 3 doubles and No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
