NORTHWEST RETURNS HOME FOR MATCHUP WITH YORK
The Northwest Missouri State University men's basketball team (5-2 overall) will return to Bearcat Arena for a pre-Thanksgiving non-conference matchup with the York Panthers (2-7 overall).
   Northwest and York will play Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Maryville, Mo.

Northwest owns a 3-0 mark all-time against York. The programs last met in the 2012-13 season with Northwest scoring an 80-69 victory in Bearcat Arena.

JADIN JOHNSON RETURNS
York senior guard
Jadin Johnson will return to Bearcat Arena where he suited up last season for the Bearcats.
   Johnson is averaging 17.1 points per game this season for the Panthers. He posted a season-high 34-point performance against Brian Cliff. He has generated three 20-point scoring efforts including 26 vs. Mount Marty and 20 vs. Saint Mary.
   Johnson scored 18 points in 12 games and made one start last season as a Bearcat. He scored a season-high nine points vs. Washburn (Jan. 11).

Since the start of the 2011-12 season, Northwest has compiled a home mark of 177-24, including a tally of 120-19 in MIAA play.
   Since Jan. 14, 2015, Northwest has compiled a home record of 132-17. In that same stretch, Northwest is 96-13 in home MIAA contests.

DEFENDING 3-POINT ARC
Northwest ranks No. 4 in the MIAA in three-point field goal defense. The Bearcats are allowing teams to make 25.8% of their three-point attempts.
   Five of Northwest's seven opponents have shot 26.9% or less this season from beyond the arc.

Senior guard
Royce Williams leads the Bearcats in scoring (13.1 ppg), rebounds (5.0 rpg) and steals (13).
   Williams is 18-of-19 (94.7%) at the free throw line and has made 16 consecutive free throws entering Wednesday's game vs. York. Williams ranks No. 1 in the MIAA in free throw percentage and No. 38 in the nation.
   Williams ranks No. 24 in the nation in total steals (13).
GAIR ADDS SCORING FLAIR
Senior
Aiden Gair ranks second on the team in scoring (13.0 ppg) and is tops on the squad with 27 assists and 17 made three-pointers.
   Gair has sank 112 three pointers in his NCAA collegiate career with 95 made triples at Millersville.
   Gair ranks No. 18 in the nation with 27 assists.
   He also ranks No. 13 in the country in three-pointers made (17).
   Gair ranks second in the MIAA in three-pointers made with 17, trailing Washburn's Jack Bachelor (18).
MAYES IS A BOOST OFF THE BENCH
Senior
Matthew Mayes is third on the team in scoring (12.8 ppg).
   Mayes is shooting 54.7% from the floor having drained 29-of-53 shots.
   Mayes came off the bench in the first four games and has been in the starting lineup in each of the last two contests in Wisconsin.

Royce Williams recorded his third career 20-point game with a 21-point scoring effort against Northern State. Williams has 19 career double-figure scoring games to his credit.

Royce Williams is a Div. II transfer from Southern New Hampshire. Williams played three seasons for SNHU and saw action in 69 games with 15 starts. He averaged 9.3 points per game in 2024-25. He shot 46.6% from the floor and grabbed 83 rebounds. Williams played in the 2025 NCAA Tournament for SNHU.
   Osa Obasohan is a Div. I transfer from Hawaii. Obasohan played in 10 games for the Rainbow Warriors and scored six points. He played in a French under-21 league in 2023-24.
