Bearcats top Huskies behind Streigle's gem

TOPEKA, Kan. - The Northwest Missouri State University softball team used a pitching gem from starter Jadyn Streigle in a 2-1 win over the St. Cloud State Huskies Friday at the Washburn Invitational.

The Bearcats moved to 6-4 on the season, while handing the Huskies only their second loss of the season to drop to 7-2 overall.

Streigle went the distance and allowed only two hits and one unearned run. Streigle is 2-2 on the season.

The Bearcats scored two runs in the second inning that stood up as the difference in the game. Annie Gahan had a two-out, two-RBI single to provide the Bearcat offense.

SCSU tallied on a single unearned run in the fourth as Streigle limited many scoring chances.

Abby Nolte went 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored. Gahan went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
