EDMOND, Okla. – The Northwest Missouri State University women's soccer team (3-2-4, 1-1-1 MIAA) played to a scoreless draw against the University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos at Tom Thompson Field.
Central Oklahoma (4-3-2, 1-0-2 MIAA) came close to scoring in the final ticks of regulation, but the shot struck the crossbar and fell safely into the hands of Northwest goalkeeper
Lily Ellis.
Northwest controlled much of the first half, earning three corner kicks while holding UCO without any. The Bearcats managed one shot on goal from three attempts.
Adell Gore found the back of the net in the 23rd minute, but the goal was called off due to an offside whistle, keeping the game level at halftime.
In the second half, the Bronchos came out aggressively, forcing two quick saves from Ellis. Northwest had only managed four shots in the half compared to UCO's 11. UCO goalkeeper Avery Bass kept the 'Cats quiet, finishing with five saves.
The Bearcats totaled seven shots on the night, with five on target.
Makenna West led the team with four shots, two on goal. Ellis continued her stellar form with eight saves.

Adell Gore also recorded shots on goal.
Northwest will next head to Wichita, Kan., where they'll face the Newman University Jets on Sunday at 1 p.m. to wrap up its weekend.
