MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis locked up a 6-1 dual win over the visiting MSU Denver Roadrunners on the Frank Grube Courts at the
Mark Rosewell Tennis Center.
Northwest took care of business in doubles action. The Bearcats won all three matches and dropped only five games in the trio of victories.
The Bearcats kept the Roadrunners down in singles action by taking five of the six matches. Northwest won four of the matches in straight sets from No. 1
Vera Alenicheva, No. 3
Tessa Kwakernaak, No. 4 Angela Per Moreno and No. 5 Carolina DeOliveira. Northwest's
Tyffaine Pais won a three-set match at No. 2 singles to help the Bearcats clinch the 6-1 victory.
Northwest is 5-2 on the season, while MSU Denver is 6-4 overall.
