SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis team ran its win streak to four in a row with a 5-2 victory over Southwest Baptist University Thursday at the Cooper Indoor Courts.

The Bearcat women's team has won seven of its last eight dual matches and moved to 10-3 on the season.

The Northwest women gained an early edge by capturing wins at No. 2 doubles from
Tessa Kwakernaak and
Vera Alenicheva and at No. 3 doubles from
Tyffaine Pais and
Angela per Moreno.

Pais moved to 10-1 at No. 2 singles with a 6-4, 6-2 dispatching of SBU's Ghada Dirninger.

Carolina Caetano Reis gained a victory at No. 4 singles with a 7-6, 6-3 triumph over SBU's Polina Paunova.

Northwest clinched the dual victory when per Moreno tallied a 6-2, 6-1 triumph over SBU's Lola Cincunegui at No. 5 singles.

The Bearcats closed out the 5-2 dual with when
Carolina Lima De Oliveira earned a three-set win over SBU's Leticia Luiz at No. 6 singles. De Oliveira came back from a set deficit and picked up a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9) win.
