LIBERTY, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis picked up a 7-0 shutout victory over the William Jewell Cardinals Friday afternoon at the Clayview Country Club indoor courts.
Northwest improved to 2-1 in the dual season, while William Jewell dropped to 5-7.
The Bearcats took control in doubles action by scoring three wins to take a 1-0 lead in the dual.
Northwest continued its dominant play in singles by not dropping a set in all six matches. Northwest's
Tessa Kwakernaak scored a double-bagel triumph over Katie Shipley at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
