CLAREMORE, Okla. - The Northwest Missouri State University women's soccer team produced its fourth straight shutout in a 1-0 road win over the Rogers State Hillcats on Sunday at Soldier Field.
The Bearcats picked up their fourth straight win and improved to 7-4-5 overall and 4-2-3 in MIAA play. Rogers State fell to 6-8-2 overall and 4-6-0 in league action.
The Bearcats have not allowed a goal in four-plus matches. Following today's win, Northwest's shutout streak has reached 441 minutes.
The two teams had a very quiet first half with intermission ending in a 0-0 tie. The Bearcats had six shots (five on-goal) in the first half with no shots finding the back of the net.

Ximena Arnau in the 58th minute to give the Bearcats a 1-0 lead. It was Arnau's third goal of the season and first game-winning goal for in 2023. It was the third assist this season for Theoharidis.
Goalkeeper
Lily Ellis posted her 19th career shutout and her sixth clean sheet of the season. Ellis turned away 10 shots to up her career save total to 143.
Northwest took 17 total shots in the match with 11 being on-goal. Northwest also won the corner kick battle, 7-3.
Northwest will complete the MIAA regular season next weekend with road matches against Missouri Southern (Thursday, 6 p.m.) and Missouri Western (Sunday, 1 p.m.).
