NEW ORLEANS, LA – The USTFCCCA announced the 2022 Cross Country Academic Awards Thursday afternoon.

The Northwest Missouri State men's and women's cross country teams led by Head Coach
Wick Cunningham both earned honors as USTFCCCA All-Academic teams.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The men's cross country team had a 3.62 GPA which was ranked the 3
rd best team GPA in Div. II. The women's cross country team had a 3.72 and that tied them for the 18
th best team GPA in Div. II.
Northwest had seven individuals named to the USTFCCCA all-academic team. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.

The Bearcat men had three individuals named to the USTFCCCA all-academic Division II team:
Drew Atkins – Freshman – Kansas City, Mo. – Computer Science
Austin Goetsche – Sophomore – Omaha, Neb. – Mass Media: Sports Media
Jake Norris – Senior – Papillion, Neb. – MBA: General

Caroline Cunningham – Senior – Cedar Falls, Iowa – Recreation: Therapeutic Rec
Kaylee Harp – Sophomore – Harrisonville, Mo. – Mathematics: Data Science
Lydia McGlocklin – Freshman – Olathe, Kan. – University Meta Major
Amber Owens – Senior – Lincoln, England – Recreation: Corporate Rec and Wellness
