The Northwest Missouri State soccer team took a 3-2 loss at Emporia State Friday afternoon.
Kaylie Rock started the scoring in the 10
th minute of the match off an assist by
Adell Gore to put the Bearcats up 1-0.
Emporia State found the back of the net in the 31
st minute to tie things up at one a piece. The Hornets would take the lead in the 41
st minute and enter halftime up 2-1.
Ten minutes into the second half Northwest tied the match as
Sophie Cissell scored off an assist by
Kaylie Rock.
Emporia State scored the game winning goal in the 80
th minute to take the win with a score of 3-2.
The Bearcats had 10 shots in the match, six were on goal.
Northwest is back in action Sunday, October 2 at Washburn. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
