HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas University Muleriders baseball team notched a 10-2 victory over the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats Monday at Majestic Field.
The Bearcats trailed 4-1 through seven innings only to have the Muleriders put up three runs in both the eighth and ninth innings.
SAU managed 13 hits in the contest, while Northwest managed 10 base hits. SAU left 15 runners on base and Northwest stranded 11 runners. Each team committed one error.
The Muleriders held a 4-0 lead in the seventh when the Bearcats dented the scoreboard for the first time.

Tyler Peters to score from third to cut the lead to 4-1.

DeAunte Parker launched a homer to left in the eighth to finish Northwest's scoring on the day.

Donovan Warren posted three-hit days. Warren also drew a walk to reach base four times.
Northwest starter Phil Brenneman was hung with the loss as he allowed two runs in three innings of work. Brenneman walked three and struck out three.
Reliever
Brandin Hallier worked 2 2/3 innings and allowed one hit to go along with three strikeouts. Hallier pitched in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings to keep the SAU bats at bay.
Northwest (1-2 overall) will play two games on Friday in Arkadelphia, Ark., against Ouachita Baptist (1 p.m.) and Southern Arkansas (6 p.m.).
