HAYS, Kan. - The No. 10-ranked Northwest Missouri State University volleyball team bounced back Saturday with a 3-0 triumph over the Fort Hays State University Tigers.
Northwest (12-4 overall, 6-2 MIAA) won by set scores of 25-14, 25-10 and 25-21.
The Bearcats had suffered a 3-0 setback Friday night at No. 6 Nebraska-Kearney, but showed no ill effects as the 'Cats took it right to the hometown Tigers.
Northwest hit a season-high .402 with only seven attack errors in the match.Â
Freshman
Kate Frakes put down a career-high 12 kills and hit .611 against the Tigers. She took 18 swings and had only one attack error. She also added a solo block and a dig.
Junior
Jaden Ferguson hammered 12 kills and hit .385 in the sweep. Ferguson added six digs and a service ace.
Junior
Alyssa Rezac tallied 40 assists and 10 digs for a double-double. Rezac served up two aces.
