The Northwest Missouri State soccer team dropped a 3-0 match to No. 18 Central Missouri in regional action. The Bearcats dropped to 2-3 on the season.
 
The Jennies' defense kept a handle on the Bearcat offense, allowing just five shots with only two on goal. Central Missouri's offense did their part in creating a 2-0 lead by taking 14 shots with six on goal in the first half.
 
The Jennies' defensive pressure continued in the second half, limiting Bearcat possessions in Central Missouri territory and holding Northwest to nine shots. Central Missouri also scored another insurance goal in the 71^st minute to secure a 3-0 win.
 
Northwest recorded 14 shots on the evening with six on goal. Grace Goetsch tallied five saves while Ashley Williams had three as they split keeper duties for Northwest.
 
Northwest returns to Bearcat Pitch on Sunday to host No. 13 Missouri Western. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
