TOPEKA, Kansas - The No. 17-ranked Washburn University women's tennis team moved to 15-1 on the season with a 5-2 win over the Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats.
The Ichabods won all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead.
The Bearcats were able to secure only two singles victories before succumbing to the Ichabods.
Julia Aliseda picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win over WU's Svea Crohn at No. 2 singles.
Victoria Caster tallied a third-set tiebreak win over WU's Cadence Lynn at No. 6 singles. Caster won by the score of 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-8).
The Bearcats will prepare for the MIAA Championship meet set to begin Friday in Edmond, Oklahoma.Â
