The Northwest Missouri State softball team used a four-run first inning to jumpstart an offense that would secure a 9-1 win over Bemidji State in five innings. The Bearcats recorded 15 hits and forced one Beaver error in the victory.
Six Bearcats picked up multiple hits in the win, five of them recording doubles.
Hannah Blackford went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and scored two runs while
Regan Kirby finished the game 2-for-2 with an RBI and a stolen base.
Olivia Daugherty was 2-for-3 with a run scored, an RBI and a double and
Abby Nolte recorded a team-high three hits on four at bats, hitting both a double and a home run.Â
Hayden Simmons picked up the win in the circle in 5.0 innings pitched and improved to 4-2 on the season.
