The Minnesota State-Mankato softball team handed Northwest its sixth loss on the season in a 7-0 contest to wrap up the Missouri Western Hy-Vee Classic. 

Hannah Blackford and Abby Nolte each went 2-for-3 at the plate while Blackford recorded a double and a stolen base on the afternoon. Madison Friest and Regan Kirby recorded one hit each to round out the Bearcat offense that was held scoreless by MSU pitcher McKayla Armbruster.

Northwest will be back in action on March 26 when they travel to Tahlequah, Oklahoma to take on the Northeastern State Riverhawks. First pitch of the doubleheader action will be at noon.
