SPRINGFIELD, Missouri - The Northwest Missouri State University men's tennis team improved to 6-1 on the season with a 5-2 victory over Ouachita Baptist University Sunday at the Cooper Indoor Tennis Courts.
Northwest moved to 2-0 in MIAA dual action with the win. Ouachita Baptist fell to 6-4 overall and 1-2 in MIAA play.
Northwest secured the doubles points for the fourth straight match and for the fifth time in seven tries this season. The Bearcats won the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead.
The Bearcats recorded wins at No. 1, No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 singles.Â
