The Northwest Missouri State softball took down Illinois-Springfield 9-5 in eight innings at the Drury Invitational.

Kaitlyn Weis was 2-for-3 at the plate while scoring two runs to go along with three RBI while Abby Nolte scored one run on two hits and tallied four RBI.  Avery Anderson was 2-for-4 and scored two runs and Alexis Kump went 2-for-3 while scoring a run as well.

Breck Dickey's and Raven Defrain's pitching combined for the eight-inning victory. Dickey recorded five strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings while giving up four runs on seven hits. Defrain earned the win in the circle with one strikeout in 14 at bats while giving up one run and one hit.
