The Northwest Missouri State softball team left the Drury Invitational with a perfect 4-0 record after defeating Drury 8-3.
Northwest scored eight runs on nine hits and no errors.
Kaitlyn Weis was 3-for-4 at the plate while scoring two runs to go along with three RBI. Â Five other Bearcats scored one run and one hit each.
Ashleigh Creek got the win in the circle for Northwest, giving up just two hits and striking out one batter in 2 1/3 innings of work.
Christina Campbell (2/3 inn.) and
Hayden Simmons (4 inn.) also made appearances on the mound.
Northwest will look forward to March 6 when they take on Lewis at the Pitt State Classic in Pittsburg, Kansas. First pitch is set for 10 a.m. on Saturday.
